Hi I'm Reed

I'm a lawyer, a triathlete, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents moved to Alaska when I was young. I enjoyed living in what I think is one of the prettiest places on the face of the earth. I was involved with Boy Scouts, and almost every single club/team at my school. After graduating from high school, I served a mission for my church in Arizona. Once I returned home, I realized that I could never live again in a place where I'm constantly cold. While in school, I started looking at different employers that would help me grow as a lawyer, and were located in a warm climate. I found a firm that fit that criteria and more. I honestly have my dream job. Several months ago, I decided to get back involved with endurance sports. So I signed up for a triathlon. I love the sport and plan to do them for the rest of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me Mormon, and I actively participated in the church. During my junior year in high school, I felt something was "missing" in my life. I just didn't feel complete. So I started to read the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, more intently. I also had more frank prayers. Slowly the void in my life was filled as I found out that I really believed in Jesus Christ, his teachings, and his prophets - including modern prophets. Since that time, I've found myself happier when I read the scriptures, and try my best to live the teachings in them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be kind to every person I meet, and helping others see and achieve their potential. The cool part about it is that's also what I do in my church. I've been asked to help people understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to invite other Mormons to do the same. It's very fulfilling to help people by sharing a message that God loves them, and is aware of their needs.
