Hi I'm Lillie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my early 50s and believe you are only as old as you feel. I have 4 grown children from a first marriage and 4 children, whom 3 were legally adopted and 1 who was never adopted but very much a daughter, with my forever soulmate my second husband Dave. We will be adopting another little boy next year who was born in 2010. We have 4 grandchildren 2 girls and 2 boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptised a mormon when I was 9 years old. My parents were never active that I can remember but I thrived on going to church and my church family. When I became 18 I became pregnant with my first child. I knew that what I had done was wrong in the eyes of Jesus and in the eyes of the church and so I simply quit attending church. Fast forward 30 plus years.......For many years my second husband and I had been searching for a church...I had never told him I was a Mormon.....we never were able to find a church where we felt comfortable. Finally after several months of God trying to get my attention I listened to that still small voice that was telling me that I knew where I should be attending church. So I finally broke down and told my husband about my being Mormon and asked him if he would be interested in learning about the Mormon Religion and having the missonaries stop by. He said he would be and the rest is pretty much history. He joined the church and we have since attended the Temple together. Our lives have been so blessed since returning to church. As soon as I set foot back in the church I knew I was HOME! Since returning I have had a great weight lifted off of my shoulders knowing that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for ME! The wrong things I had done could be and would be forgiven because of the wonderful sacrifice that Jesus suffered. I realized that if I didn't accept his sacrifice that all Jesus went thru for me would have been for nothing.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have been foster parents for 7 years and have had many children in and out of our home over the years. Right now my husband teaches 8 year old boys in Sunday School. I love to go hometeaching once a month. Recently I have started my own non-profit organization to help foster children.
