Hi I'm Gerald Hallman

I grew up in Georgia and have lived here all my life. I'm a Registered Nurse. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a nurse and the father of four children and the grandfather of seven at grandchildren. I work in Home Health and spend a lot of time with patients. I am always looking to increase my knowledge and know more about what is going on in the world. I love to fish, I am an amateur astronomer and I love to target shoot. I am an avid football fan of Georgia Bulldogs and the Falcons. I Ihave been in health care for over 30 years and worked as a paramedic before I got my RN. I feel that I am called by God to do the work that I do.

Why I am a Mormon

Years ago I had questions that I could not get answers for, about life after this, what were we doing before and a lot of other questions that no one would answer. When the missionaries came, I asked the questions I had always thought about and instead of telling me that I didn't need to know or it was just a mystery of God, they answered me. I have had many questions answered in the church but the most important question was the simplest. "Is the Book of Mormon a true word of God and was Joseph Smith a prophet?" Through prayer and study I can say YES! I cannot deny this nor am I willing to back down. Am I a perfect member of the church, no, but I have the miracle of forgiveness to help me. Do I believe all that is taught in the church? Yes, and I am willing to teach others that ask. I know that Jesus Christ is at the head of His church and He is my Lord and Master. He is the living son of my Father in Heaven and without him there is no hope or salvation. My God lives, His Son lives and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I know that I am cared for and I am watched after. This is my testimony and I leave this with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to help whenever I can. My job does not always allow me to be as active as I would like, but I know that if I am in need, the church members will come to help. Without my faith, I could not do what I do and not feel that I could give comfort to families grieving for the passing of a loved one. It gives me strength to do what has to be done and go the hours sometimes required.
