Hi I'm Sean

I'm from Covington, Washington. I love the outdoors and being in nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing just about anything fun. I love hanging out with my friends, hitting the gym, and being outdoors. I'm planning to go to college and will be studying Chemical Engineering. I grew up in the LDS Church, but that definitely doesn't mean that I've followed this faith because my parents and what they wanted for me. Staying in this church and making the decisions that I have are based on the testimony that, started by my parents, and nurtured through study of the scriptures and much prayer, has helped me understand that this is the only true and living church upon the face of this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 8 years old, meaning I grew up in the church. My conversion started when I was young but I have come to know that this is the true church and Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond any shadow of a doubt. When I was younger I decided to take Moroni's Challenge in the 10th Chapter and 3rd to 5th verse of his book and I read the entire Book of Mormon. I asked my Heavenly Father in faith and he answered my prayers. There haven't been too many "wow" experiences in my life and not an exact moment when I could say "now I know that it's true." But after much study, pondering, and prayer I can now tell the world without a hint of being unsure about my answer that I know that Jesus is the Christ, my Savior and Redeemer. He lives and loves me. He conquered sin and death so that I won't have to suffer as he did. He has cleansed me from my sins, though they are red like crimson, they have and will become white like snow. I know that Jesus Christ restored his one true Church upon the earth through the foreordained Prophet and Seer Joseph Smith and making sacred covenants with the Lord through baptism and confirmation and the Lord's Temple, and faithful membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is imperative to salvation and exaltation in the highest degree of glory in the Celestial Kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. I'm not a Sunday church-goer who only worships on Sunday. I worship the Lord every day and I try to emulate him to the best of my ability. I'm not perfect, in fact, far from it. But as I've come closer to Jesus Christ by learning about him and trying to be like him, I feel that my faith has increased and my life has been greatly blessed. I continue looking for opportunities to serve others and to share these glad tidings of great joy to all people. Many people wonder how we can balance church with family and with our careers, I feel that my faith is involved in every aspect of my life. It gives me the drive to be excellent in whatever thing I choose to do. Faith without works is dead, I keep my faith alive by following the commandments and the covenants that I've made with Heavenly Father and making a conscious effort to follow the Gospel every day. Constant repentance helps me acheive my goals and allows me to reach the vision that I have of myself.
