Hi I'm Beaugh

"...for in my strength I am weak..." Alma 26

About Me

I am a young man who loves to make others happy. I have played a variety of athletics in my life and I'm planning on playing Football and participating in Track and Field at a University In a short while. I was raised with 8 siblings by a loving mother and father having the privelage of being the youngest child. I'm blessed to have family members who support me in my dreams and goals. My family means everything to me. I strive to follow the example Christ set for us. Each day I desire to learn something and be a better person. I dont always succeed but you can never go wrong when striving to be more like our savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I went through the motions when I was younger, more for my family members than for myself. I never payed attention in church or seminary and I never studied to know what I believed and if I truelly believe it. Until weeks prior to my mission I knelt down in prayer as James directs in (James 1:5) and I wanted to know what to do at that point in my life. Whether I should leave the church because I didnt have a testimony or if I should start doing what I've been invited to do my entire life. That is, to search, ponder and pray to gain a testimony and then ask God if this church is true. In June of 2011 I finished the Book of Mormon: Another Testiment of Jesus Christ and I prayed and received an answer that I realized I had known all along. It didnt come by a loud voice or a miraculous vision, I just simply knew by the feeling I received and by a still small voice, That this church is the true and living church of Jesus Christ on the earth, with a prophet and 12 apostles called by our Heavenly Father to help us keep our eye single to the Glory of God. Thats why I'm a member of this church. It wasn't until after the Trial of my faith and after I had prayed to know whether this church is true or not. I had to find out for myself as we all do.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by example. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints encourages everyone to follow the example of our savior Jesus Christ. To learn patience, Charity, Faith, meekness, humility, and other Christlike attributes. When somebody is in need of help, let us be the good samaritan who helps. Let us Grab hold of our Father in Heaven whos arm is stretched out all the day long, and reach out to others and invite them to follow our savior as well.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?
