Hi I'm Mabel

I'm a beautiful Mormon.

About Me

I am a PhD in Clinical Counseling Psychology and also a very faithful LDS member.

Why I am a Mormon

My husband and I welcomed each of our children with love and joy. I was a hands on mom and i enjoyed taking care of God's precious children .I chose a man who was a return missionary and whom I feel has an unconquerable Mormon spirit like mine thus I want to raise our children on this level. Through guidance of the Holy Ghost,I nurtured each one with an individualized care focusing on their strengths and uniqueness and needs. There was an interplay of different personalities but all has dominang godly virtues and highlights. As a mom, I t trained them on how to pray and recognize the Savior in songs, lessons inFamily Home evenings and teaching moments. The budding faith blossomed as they encounter and overcome difficulties along the way. Not only are they taught on life's beauty and wonders, they are also taught to be careful, steadfast and true to their testimonies. we experienced provident living and they learned the art and science of temporal and spiritual self reliance as they study tithing, saving postponing immediate wants for long lasting triumphs. Through hard work and studies, they learned how striving propels them to excellence as they received honors since they allre ceived accolades and achievements as Magna Cumlaudes - Ruth and Jasmine, Cumlaude- Kathleya, Ruth - Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines, Carl- RM and Masteral Graduate and church employee, Wilford- Management graduate and OFW Worker and James, our High School Valedictorian and College dean's lister and scholar. They all have a strong testimony of the gospel because they have the confirmation of the Spirit that through righteousness, they can progpress more, build positive lives of influence of tehir own and be a strength in the Church.

How I live my faith

What is then our mothers' role in teaching by the power and influence of the Holy Ghost? WEhen a mother is righteous, she is led by the Holy Ghost. Hence we need to set our lives in order and righteousness in order that guidance becomes automatic. Those who were influenced by our righteous deeds will also feel the confirmation of the spirit in their lives. Sisater Eliza R. Snow , second Re;lief Society general president never had children of her own. She counseled " Let your first business be to perform your duties at home" Sis Zina Young pleaded that if there is any one mother present who does not teach and instruct properly , do so and call children and pray with them. Warn the evils that surround us,grow in holiness and purity before the Lord. Through prayers and rightepous living, we can tecah by the power of the Holy Ghost in a hands on way , share practical skills to help them ibncrease in faith and personal righteousness, makes homes centers of spiritual strength and apply principles of provident living and spiritual and temporal self reliance. We then nurture and create a climate for spiritual and temporal growth.Anotherword for nurturing is homemaking. Homemaking includes cooking, washing clothes and dishesand jkeeping an orderly home.Home is where women have most power and influence hence we need to strive to be best home makers as thsi requires organization, patience, love and work. In addition to strengthening homes from the inside we need also to provide unyielding defense agains influences that attack the family from the outside.
