Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a family girl. I'm a daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mom. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother of 2 beautiful children, and "retired." I left the working world to spend as much time with my children as possible, they grow up too quick!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I knew the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a true and honest church. Growing up, I always thought of myself as spiritual. I attended many different churches with my friends because I wanted to be there and wanted to learn more. I just never knew where the right "there" was and what I learned never felt entirely right to me. Then I attended a fireside with friends and decided I wanted to learn more, so I asked the missionaries to teach me. After studying and praying with an open mind, I received a confirmation that what I was learning was true! I was baptized at 18 after attending church for a year and a half. Although I wanted to be baptized right away, my parents wanted me to wait and I respected their decision. I believe that doing this made me even stronger because I faced so much opposition up until my baptism. On the day of my baptism, I felt so victorious, I made it! I learned then that if I held strong to my beliefs and what I knew was true, I could make it through any trial in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. My relationships with my husband, my children, family and friends are strengthened from the things I learn from the scriptures and in church. Saying prayers is the best part of our day, especially hearing our 2 young ones have their turn. It is amazing how much children can inspire you through their conversations with Heavenly Father. Before I joined the church, I remember always being observant of my LDS friends, their actions and behaviors. And their examples helped bring me closer to the gospel. I try to be a good example to my friends and family by living a Christ-like life, being charitable, kind, and loving. I always think that someone I know might be searching like I once was.   One of my many favorite scriptures that testifies this is in 1 Timothy 412 "...be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
