Hi I'm Trissa

I'm a country girl. I love both adventure and peaceful moments. I'm a trained vocalist, a teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a country girl who loves adventure but also cherishes moments of peace and security. I love to run, ski, dance, explore, sing, and watch the stars. I am a trained vocalist, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

God is real. He is our Father and our Creator. Everything bears witness of Him--the perfection of a world that can sustain life, a sun that rises and sets, the encompassing stars, the miracle and complexity of the human body, the ability to think, create, and learn. All good things come of Him. I didn't always believe as strongly as I do now. I was raised as a Latter Day Saint, but I always had a strong streak of curiosity. I questioned, I searched, I desired to know for myself. For the last few years as I attended college, I would take on a new challenge and adventure as I would seek a new place to work during my summers. I worked in many different locations from a ranch in Wyoming to upstate New York to Cuenca, Ecuador. In every place I experienced and learned so much--and though I saw much pain and sorrow, I also came to know that God does live. He loves all of His children--no matter where they are. In this life we do experience pain and trials, but we learn, we grow, and we overcome. And our Father will always be there as we turn to Him for strength and guidance. And through His love and through the love and atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ, we may find peace and joy--no matter what we have suffered. I know God lives. I know of His love. I know there is a way to find peace in this life. It is through Him. Turn to Him. He will never leave you.

How I live my faith

Some people think it incredible that Mormons would subject themselves to live the laws of the gospel. But it is not so incredible. There is a joy that comes in no other way. Try it-and you will know exactly what I mean. Beyond that, I find ways to help and serve those around me and have served in church callings in a variety of ways and have greatly come to love the people with whom I have worked and served.
