Hi I'm Chris

Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, the son of migrant parents, Father of four sons and 'Poppy' to one grandson.

About Me

I've been married for 27 years to my wonderful wife and we are parents to four boys and as of April last year grandparents to our first very cute grandchild, yep you guessed it, another boy. I am the son of Polish parents who immigrated to Australia after the Second World War. My father was a concentration camp survivor and so I feel so very grateful to have been born and raised in such a wonderful country. I live in Melbourne and am employed as the Operations Manager for a large Multinational Printing Solutions company.

Why I am a Mormon

I like a quote by the French Physicist Blaise Pascal who said "There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only God." I relate with that sentiment. I had always felt that same feeling of an emptiness that I longed to be filled. A deep desire to connect with my Father in Heaven who somehow I had always known was there but I couldn’t find. This gospel has shown me the steps I need to take to build a very real and personal relationship with my Heavenly Father through his son Jesus Christ. I know that He is there and that He hears and answers my prayers. That relationship gives me comfort and confidence and gives my life a clarity and direction that has become the guiding light of my life.  I wish I have the words that could adequatley express to my friends just how how important this relationship has been to me and I know would be to them if they would be prepared to hear the simple message of the Gopsel. I invite them to exercise the smallest particle of faith and listen with an open heart to the message that our missionaries share.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many opportunities to serve in different assignments and callings within the Church. Whilst many of these assignments have been challenging, I have found them innately rewarding and I guess I would describe them more as “soul enlarging” than “time consuming”.
