Hi I'm Cyrus

I'm a cancer survivor, a college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy to hang out with my friends, play volleyball, mountain bike and date. I am a freshman in college but I graduated with an associates degree in high school. Math is a very easy subject for me, English is not. haha. In August 2010 I was diagnosed with cancer. I had all these plans of going to my first semester of college but had to put life on hold. I had surgery and did 2 cycles of chemotherapy. Full story is under "personal stories." I am the oldest in my family of 5 kids and I love all them and would be lost with out them. I am preparing to serve a mission and have been called to the Los Angeles, California mission and I leave July 13. I am so glad I have the opportunity to delicate my life to my church and my God with full devotion for 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its the only place I know with out any doubt that I'm doing whats right. Being a Mormon provides a structure for me to follow that keeps me away from trouble, know what to do when faced with trails, live in a way that makes me more happier than I could ever be.

How I live my faith

In my ward I home teach 2 families. I love doing it. Its always nice to see how they are doing, tell them how we are doing, and share our testimonies with each other. I started to home teach when I was 14 and have been able to teach the same family the whole time. Its the coolest thing to see how the kids I home taught, build their faith in Christ and also look back and see how much I have grown in the gospel of Jesus Christ as well.
