Hi I'm Emme

I'm a dancer, attorney, Southerner, and a Mormon.

About Me

During the day I work as an attorney. At night I am a dancing queen at my local dance studio. On the weekends I am a sunshine seeker/beach bum and for the last eleven years I've been proud to call myself a Gator-- I even danced as a Dazzler! I have strong family roots firmly planted in South Georgia and I am oh so proud to call myself a Southerner! But most of all, first and foremost, my faith encompasses all the good that I am and the woman I am striving to become. I think that makes me a dancer, an attorney, a beach bum, a southerner, a seeker of sunshine and an eternal companion. But best of all, I AM A MORMON!.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is probably a little different than most. I was born into the church, however, after my family went inactive I began a sincere search for God's plan for my life. My search started with the most sincere desire to know if there was a God and if there was, what He wanted for my life. After many years of great adversity I remember getting on knees and praying to Heavenly Father in both desperation and humility for help and guidance and to know who he wanted me to be. It was not soon after that doors began to open for me. One of those doors led me to London for an internship, where, after many years of attending various churches I decided to begin attend a local LDS YSA Ward. The sweet spirit I felt there was undeniable and I went back week after week to feel it again. My sojourn in London was truly a life altering experience where I humbly opened my heart to the will of the Lord and found in Him, an advocate, a friend, a mentor, and Savior! Since then I have graduated from law school, traveled throughout Europe, and am now living in another major city. However, my conversion continues as I strive to draw closer to the Lord and immerse myself in His sweet gospel, which has been restored to this Earth in these latter days. I am grateful to have the fullness of the gospel in my life and the blessing it brings and a more complete knowledge of the Atonemtn. in the love, comfort, and guidance of the Holy Ghost. My conversion continues as I look back to see how the Atonement of Jesus Christ has not only saved my from death, but heals my heartache, strengthens me, and quite simply impacted my life for good in a way that would be possible to deny.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consistently doing the small things like daily prayer, scripture study, attending my meetings, and striving to magnifying my calling. The thing that has most impacted my life for good is seeking daily to serve others in small ways. It may be with a smile, a text, a compliment, or a phone call, serving daily increases my capacity to sacrifice for others-- and it makes me happy! I do my best to offer sincere thanks and grattitude for my many blessings and to openly communicate and evaluate my life and progress during prayer. This has increased my testimony in prayer, as I've come to know that my Heavenly knows who I am and is listening! I have also come to know that my Savior advocates for me!
