Hi I'm Lyndsey

I love hardcore metal music. I'm a dancer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Pre-Pharmacy major so my life right now is basically school like most people my age. I love my friends they mean everything to me and I'd do anything to make them feel good about themselves. My best friend is not a member but that doesn't make a difference because he is one of the best people I know. I love music. It's the best way to make my day better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church but that doesn't mean I didn't have to search for my knowledge. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen to restore the Gospel of Christ on the earth again. I know Thomas Monson is a living prophet. He is here to guide us and give us modern day revelation. Recently I have really gained a testimony of prayer. I know that if you pray with real intent God will give you answers. You may not like the answer at first, but with time you will find it was exactly what you needed. Im a firm believer in loving people no matter what trials they may have endured. God created us all and loves us. He may not always agree with our choices but he wants us to return to him. Currently My Stake(the members within my geographic area) has given a challenge to read the Book of Mormon in 90 days. I didn't gain my testimony of its truths until I was 21. I can firmly say that it is divinely written and that the stories and words are of god. It is the only scripture to give a challenge to the reader. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost" (Moroni 10:4). I can say that the spirit has testified to me and it has strengthened me spiritually and as a person.

How I live my faith

I'm actually in a group that helps plan a brunch style way for the young people that attend church together can eat and socialize. It has been proven that the best way to get to know people is over food . Its a great calling to create situations so people can meet and develop life long friendships.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

God created us in his image and as a result he wants us to respect the bodies he has given us. We believe that defiling your body with things such as drugs and alcohol will only destroy the gift that God has given us. We must also eat healthy foods and not overindulge because that is not giving proper respect to the body that You have received. The temple is a sacred and clean place that the Lord can dwell in. We believe that our bodies should be kept clean in this same way so that The spirit can dwell with us as well. Show more Show less
