Hi I'm Stephen

I grew up in Payson Arizona, I am adopted, I love camping, hunting, playing sports, reading, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a young child my family was split up. At the age of 10 I was adopted by my Grandma. Being adopted by my Grandma was the biggest blessing in my life. I struggled through high school, but I stuck with it and after an extra year I graduated. The job I am looking forward to most in life is being a dad. For me the ultimate vacation is going to the mountains with the family for a week long camping trip. I love fishing and learning new ways to catch the fish. A couple of years ago I picked up hunting and found immediately that I really enjoyed it. I love doing anything out doors. I like playing sports although I am not the best at them. I love singing even though my voice isn't that great. I love skateboarding, snowboarding, and bike riding. I love life and I love living life to its fullest. I have found that studying the gospel is such a rush for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since the age of 8. Like I said before I am adopted. When my mom got custody of me she started trying to teach me the principles of the gospel. She was always telling me how I should be a good person and always try to choose the right. So I grew up with a pretty good sense of right and wrong. I never really questioned whether the church was true or not growing up, I just relied on the faith of my mom that it was. But when I turned 17 I wanted to know for myself if the church was true so I knelt down in my room and prayed for the truth of the gospel to be given to me. When I ended my prayer I stayed on my knees and waited for an answer. Nothing happened. a couple of days later I was doing yard work and out of nowhere my answer came when I was looking at the mountains around me. I had the most peaceful feeling come over me and I knew it was all true there was no question about it. I know the church is true. I know that Jesus is the Christ that he atoned for my sins because he loves me. I know that my Father in Heaven knows me personally and that he loves me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true scripture from god. That it goes hand in hand with what the bible teaches that it truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. If you haven't read it I challenge you to read it and find out for yourself if it is true or not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith any way I can. I try to help everyone that I can. I really enjoy community service. I find real joy in helping the people and the community in which I live. I try to follow the standards of the gospel to the best of my abilities. All in all I try to be an all around good person.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Stephen
Mormon missionaries proselyte because we believe in our religion. We want the whole world to find the truth peace and comfort that we have found through living the principles that our church believes in. also we want all people to come unto Christ to feel his love for them. Show more Show less
