Hi I'm Lizette

I like to say I am a nomad as I have lived in lots of different states. I enjoy living in Idaho with my family.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children and currently work part-time teaching Zumba Fitness classes and Yoga classes here in Moscow, Idaho. I love to go kayaking, camping, hiking, biking in nice weather, and dancing. I have a Masters degree in Architecture and am an Idaho Commission on the Arts Teaching Artist. I love learning new things and sharing them with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the church when I was young from my aunt who married a Mormon. Our family was always happier when we attended church and lived the gospel. I wanted to have a family that lived the gospel standards and to have the joy that comes from following the Savior.

How I live my faith

I currently help my husband with the married young adults in his ward. We really enjoy working with young adults and spending time with them. I enjoy watching them grow and go through many of the same challenges I went through when I was a young mother. I enjoy their youth and enthusiasm, it helps me stay young at heart.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Lizette
Our missionaries are out there to help everyone learn about Christ and his divine purpose and role in our eternal life. We want everyone to get a chance to learn about the gospel in this life and also in the afterlife. That is why genealogy and temple work are important to us in addition to our own blessings, we are able to share blessings with others who have gone before us. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Lizette
One of my favorite stories is found in the Book of Mormon. It talks about how Christ visited the Americas after his resurrection. When He came, He met the people at the temple and blessed all the little children. It is a very touching story. I always think about the "other sheep" Christ talks about when he discusses it in the New Testament of the Bible. I am thankful we have additional stories of Christ and his mission and purpose through the Book of Mormon that supplement the Bible and New Testament. Show more Show less
