Hi I'm Sheridan.

I am a born and raised Californian, waitress, proud mother of an 8 pound dog and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Sheridan! I am child number 4 out of 5. I spend most of my time being a waitress and a college student. I love to go to the beach, read, blog, listen to music, and spend time with my family. I have lived in California for my entire life and I never plan on leaving! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the LDS church when I was 8 years old because that is what you do when you grow up in a Mormon household. But that's not why I am Mormon. When I was 16 years old, I started to realize that I needed to know the truth of this gospel for myself rather than living off of my parents faith. I went to Utah that summer to go to a weeklong church camp. I went to church with my Grandparents the day before the camp started. I was in a terrible mood that morning and seriously started to doubt my faith and started wondering if it was something I truly believed in. At the start of service we started to sing a hymn called "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". After a few seconds into the song, I felt a wave of peace and comfort wash over me. I felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I sat there crying because I felt so silly even doubting such a wonderful thing. I knew right then and there that I was exactly where I needed to be in my life and I was part of something that would bring me nothing but happiness.

How I live my faith

Every day I strive to live a faithful and worthy life. I try to be an example to those around me because it is so important to me that I stay true to my faith so that I can be strong not only for myself, but for those around me. Even though it's hard some times, I know that it is so worth it and it's exactly what I want in life. I cannot and will never settle for anything less.
