Hi I'm Logan

I have lived all my life in Washington. I love Washington, I love having something to do, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, I love to play soccer and I love to doodle...I am definitely not awesome at either, I just really love to do them both. I love reading....mostly fictional, but I am willing to read other stuff as well. I am 1 child of 6 and I believe that my family, extended included, are the BEST!!! I have grown up in the church with all of my family. I have a wonderful group of friends who are always supportive of me, even the non-Mormon ones! I am pretty open minded, at least I think so, and I am probably considered to be slightly goofy, but that's alright with me!

Why I am a Mormon

Everything I have ever seen in my life has supported the fact that God exists and his love for us abounds in every aspect of our lives. Without the hope that God has a plan for us, seems to be a very depressing and horrible idea. I grew up in the church, but it wasn't until I was sixteen, that I came to have a testimony of all the things that the LDS church, or mormon church is true. It wasn't anything mind numbing... I was just thinking about my entire life as a mormon and I was thinking, what for? Then it came to me, cause you know its true...as simple as that I have never doubted since.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be an example of our faith by trying not to do anything contradictory to the teachings of Christ. Of course I am human and make some mistakes, but thankfully I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can repent and change and be made clean through Christ.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

The LDS church does not have a paid clergy because we are church of service. We donate time, talents, money, and effort. This has always been a great influence on me.... it just makes so much sense. Jesus Christ set up his church in ancient times and he and the apostles that he called were never paid. In fact they were commanded to go out and spread the word of God with "neither purse nor script", depending wholly upon the kindness of members to support them. I believe that Christ's church has always run this way... dependent on the love and good-will of its members. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith to me is simple. We have beliefs, and those are not the same as faith, but they are related. Faith is acting on the beliefs we have. Faith is not dependent on proof. We as a people are commanded to have faith or to trust in God, and through are acting upon our beliefs we draw nearer to our Father a in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ. Miracles are wrought through Faith.... it is a principle of devotion, diligence and trust in God. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No they are not, some of us are privilged enough to be allowed to dedicate some time to serve our Lord. It is not a requirement, but I would encourage anyone to serve a mission. there is nothing quite like it. Totally worth it! Show more Show less
