Hi I'm Austin

I'm a single child. I was raised by a single mother with faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there! I'm a son of the most incredible woman in the world! I am a single child, no brothers or sisters. Although everyone I meet and get to know becomes family. I'm learning my way through college studying communication and getting ready for the next chapter of my life. I love playing sports and games, particularly Dodgeball and Capture the Flag. One thing I love doing is hiking and being out in nature. It always calms me and makes me marvel at the beautiful creation around us. I always look forward to tomorrow, another day to do something better. Hard things have happened in my life, but I had to learn to look forward and trust in God and know that everything would work out and it would be okay. I learned an amazing lesson from a wise man who once taught me, "Stop looking into the rear-view mirror and look forward into the windshield." Sometimes we get so focused on our personal rear-view mirrors that we forget we're driving. We are meant to drive forward to reach our destination. We all have to learn to look forward ahead in our journey and keep going.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is always growing about His Church, the Restored Gospel, the Scriptures, and countless other things. The reason why I've chosen to be a member of His church is because I know it's the true church on the earth. I felt that this church is led by God and Jesus Christ. I've come to know that by simply praying about it and by tasting the fruits of it. After all in the Bible it does say, "by their fruits ye shall know them." I've read the Book of Mormon and the Bible every time I do, I just feel the love of God for me and all of his children, that to me tells me it is true. I live the Gospel and it makes me so happy and even strengthens me in the hardest times of my life, that tells me it is true. Because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I also know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that through him, God restored His church.

How I live my faith

"And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order." I do my best to be diligent in living the Gospel. I love how I feel when I do. I truly feel happy and at peace. I'm not perfect, I know little by little with the Savior's help I can become better. I seek to serve people, to help them. Whether it's housework, carrying groceries, or even a listening ear. I can't begin to comprehend how our Heavenly Father hears all of His children's prayers. Imagine how He is the perfect listener. He truly listens to you, to me, to all of us. I do my best to listen to others the way He does. At church I participate by teaching others how to study and share the Gospel. I go and visit members of the congregation monthly to see how they are and serve them. I love it!
