Hi I'm Nate

I love the South. I love Mexican food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student studying Athletic Training. I spent two years as a Spanish speaking missionary in Alabama and I loved every minute of it. I come from a family of two great parents, two wonderful sisters, and one awesome cat that's as much a part of the family as anyone else. I love playing football and futbol and hopefully I'll be a sports medicine doc some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah, so being a Mormon has been the usual in my family for quite a while. My grandma on my mom's side was the first person in her family to join the church, though, so I'm grateful for her choice and example. The advice and teachings and example that my parents have given me throughout my life are definitely a big part of why I am an active member of the church today, but I believe that many of my own personal experiences, especially out on my mission, are what have really defined and solidified my faith.

How I live my faith

It's the little things that count. I just try to be good, be safe, and be happy!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Nate
I've had lots of people ask me that question. Or sometimes it comes in the form of, "Why does it matter what church I go to?" or "What can the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do for me that my church can't?" The answer is that missionaries know and recognize the good that can be found in every church out there, but I think the last two paragraphs from the Book of Mormon explain pretty well what we do and why we do it...."We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah." I proselyted as a Mormon missionary because I truly believe this to be the Lord's true church. I just don't want anybody to miss out on hearing a message that can so compelely change and improve their life. Show more Show less
