Hi I'm Julie

I'm a wife to a firefighter/paramedic, mother to four, EMT, daughter, sister, friend, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California, the oldest of 6 kids. I moved to Arizona in the summer of 1994 and have been here ever since. I love Arizona, even in the summers. I love to spend time with my family and friends, play with my kids, and read non-fiction books when I have a spare second. Most of my time is spent running kids to school, scouts, piano lessons, etc. With four kids I manage to stay very busy. My favorite place on earth is the beach and we try and make it at least once every summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon. My father is a convert and my mother has been a member all her life. The community I grew up in was predominately Catholic. I was one of 15 members of the church in my high school of over 2,000 students. I was often teased or questioned about my faith, asked why I atttended early morning seminary, why I didn't smoke or drink. At a young age I had to defend my faith. It was then that I decided for myself to keep the covenants I made at baptism, to take on the name of Christ. It was not easy. Those early tests made my faith stronger and helped me through many challenges I have faced in my life.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the secretary for the church childrens organization, also known as the primary. I love being able to interact with so many kids. They are full of faith. I have learned so much from them.
