Hi I'm Laura.

I'm a mom. I'm a friend. I'm witty. I'm probably just like someone you know...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up near a warm, sunny beach. I went to college and started a family in the snowy mountains. Now I'm back where it's a bit warmer. I like to meet new people, but hate to leave behind old friends. I currently stay at home with 3 hilarious kids. Staying at home was a tough decision to make. It is a hard job, and sometimes the working environment is, well, hostile. But mostly, doing heaps of laundry, making endless PB&Js, sleepless nights, and changing diaper after diaper is rewarded with smiles, laughter, hugs, cuddles, and funny little person perspective.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a Mormon. When I was a kid, I just went with my parents, but I enjoyed Primary and learning about Jesus. As a teen, you start to do things for yourself. It was during this time that I really started to understand more deeply the things I was being taught and had a stronger desire to know more and be what I knew I could be.

How I live my faith

Just as I strive to be a respectful and contributing member of the community where we live, I give the same enthusiasm and activity at church. I participate in community events and support my local economy. I help plan and go to activities at church and pay tithes and give offerings in order to help build the Lord's kingdom.
