Hi I'm Tauni

I'm a small town girl, but I love to travel. I love meeting new people and learning about places and cultures. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a little town on the Utah/Colorado border. I love outdoor activities and love to just be with my family and friends. I have moved around several times to see new places. I have lived on the East Coast two different times in my life working as a nanny. I loved living there and trying new things. While there I learned so much about myself and the world around me. I knew there that I had to decide what was really important to me. I needed to know that God was there for me. I came to be great freinds with my Savior as I relyed on him to help me every day while I was away from my family and friends. I decided to go on a mission while living in Connecticut. It was never something I planned on doing. I was not sure it was something I really wanted to or could do. I felt strongly that it is the step that my Father in Heaven wanted for me and that He would help me do it. My mission, in MN, was the best thing I ever did and I LOVED it there! It is by far the best choice I have made thus far in my life. It is such a blessing have been able to serve my Savior 24/7 for 18 months. Now being back home I try to continue to keep my Savior as my Leader. It is not always easy, but through prayer and scripture study He is always there to guide me and help me each and every day through all decisions in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had my ups and downs in my life as everyone does. My spiritual journey has been long and great! I have learned who my Father in Heaven is and how amaizing he is. I know my Savior lives. I have been blessed with a great family who helps to keep me going when things get hard. I am Mormon because I want to be with my family forever and I know that Christ has made a way for me to be with them as long as I live my life according to His will. As I have gone through life, making my fair share of mistakes, I have come to see the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I keep trying every day to live the standards of the gospel because it brings peace and happiness that can come from no where else. I know that through Christ all mankind may be saved. I know that God lives and loves me. I am a mormon because by living the standards of the church and by reading in my scriptures and praying to my Father in Heaven I am told that this is the path that He has prepared for His children. I know I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father that loves me more than I can possibly imagine. Why am I am Mormon? Because it makes me happy to make my Father and Savior happy.

How I live my faith

As I said I served as a full-time missionary in St. Paul, MN! I loved going to people's homes and teaching them and helping them come to know the Savior. I had the privilege of teaching people from all over the world who have moved to MN. I get to learn new wonderful cultures and life styles. I love seeing the love God has for His children no matter where they are from or what religion they are. I taught many people from Nepal and loved meeting so many brothers and sisters from this part of the world. I can live my faith by sharing with all these wonderful people the truth that I have found that helps me every day. I live my faith by trying to live my life as Christ has asked me to. I try to, every day, follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost and help others to also recognize and act upon the promptings of the Spirit. I love to teach and help others learn how they can have peace and happiness in their lives that comes through Jesus Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Tauni
Families are the central unit of our church. The family is where we can be taught to follow the Savior and His wonderfully perfect example. I think one main reason that the family is so important to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is because we know that family is not a temperal blessing, it is an eternal one. I know that it helps me want my family to be strong in the gospel, when I know that if they are, we will be together for time and all eternity. It makes things more important when you know it is not just for a little while but forever! Show more Show less
