Hi I'm Parish

I love my savior, my family, and basketball. I survived a tornado and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission. I love to play basketball Go Celtics!!! and play the guitar. I went to a university for a year before my mission and I am going back after. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. Harry Potter is legit. I love all my friends. I have come to know that loving people makes the world a better place. Family is extremely important to me. I would not be able to accomplish everything I have in my life without my family. They supported me my whole life and never once have let me down.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that being a mormon is the only way I can have pure happiness in this life and the next. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has taught me how to have joy in this life. Heavenly Father created us so that we could be happy--forever. A favorite scripture of mine says, "Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy." This scripture comes from the book of mormon and teaches us the purpose of life. We are to have joy. Obtaining the purest joy possible comes only through living the principles of the gospel--faith, repentance, baptism, receiveing the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end-- until the end of our lives. That is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving everyday to live the Doctrine of Christ. Having a growth in faith, repenting, keeping my covenants with God, listening to the Holy Ghost, and pressing forward with a perfect brightness of hope leads me to making each day better then the last and gives me a firm knowledge that my Father in Heaven is pleased with what I am doing. I big part of living my faith is sharing my knowledge of the Doctrine of Christ with others who have not yet experienced the joy it brings. Every soul can feel the powerful joy that the gospel of Christ brings if they just choose to seek it.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Parish
Eternal Life is life after this life on Earth were we can live in the presence of God, our Heavenly Father, and enjoy eternal happiness with our family members. It can only be obtained through living the gospel of Heavenly Father's Son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
