Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a student, I love adventure, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am serving a mission in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grew up in Utah and have lived in the same house all my life. I love soccer, choir, and theater. I have performed several school choirs as well as a few musicals and plays.  I plan to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and hope to work for NASA someday. I am a hard worker but definitely love to have fun. I'm always looking for adventure and love to do anything outdoors, especially camping and boating. Among my many hobbies, I also love to just relax and hang out with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a strong Mormon family but that is not the reason I am still a Mormon myself. I had to be converted to this church just like everyone else does. I only want to believe what is the truth and so I had to find out whether or not the things that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe are really true. So I went to the Lord and asked to know if the Book of Mormon is really scripture and if the church is really Christ's church on the earth today. I received an answer. That answer was a confirmation through the Holy Ghost that this is really Christ's church. God is the one who runs this church and He does it through a living prophet. God himself called the prophet. I want to be the best person I possibly can be and live a life that is full of purpose and joy. I have found that purpose and joy as I have striven to live by the teachings and doctrine of this church. There is so much comfort and peace that comes from the many truths that the church teaches. Everything in the church makes sense. It is where I have learned what God's plan is for me and how I can continually grow and strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I can't imagine what my life would be like without the wonderful things that I have learned from being a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year full-time mission. I spend everyday, all day talking, teaching, and inviting people to come even closer to Christ by learning about the message that the Church shares. I want all people to feel the same happiness that I have felt as I have been a Mormon and so I'm doing all I can to teach people how they too can feel that wonderful happiness. I additionally do everything I can to live by the church's teachings. I want to live the way that we are taught. Being a member of this church isn't just a nice opportunity to go to church every sunday, it is a way of life. And I have seen that as I am doing everything I can to follow the teachings the Savior things work out, I am happier, and I feel the spirit of the Lord more in my life.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Morgan
Absolutely. People in Moses' time needed to have someone who spoke with God to teach them how to live righteous lives. We need the same direction today. God loves us so much and he wants us to follow him and so he has given us a prophet to teach us how to live the way our Heavenly Father wants us to. The time we live in is a much different time than the people did when Moses was alive. So we need someone who speaks with God today so that we can have specific instruction that applies to the specific challenges we face today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's chosen prophet today! Show more Show less
