Hi I'm Brandon Robinson

I'm from Idaho, I grew up on a farm, I love creating stories, I love to sword fight, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read books, I believe that this is one reason that I have an active imagination and I put it to use creating my own stories. I played football, basketball, and did track. I always loved listening to music and being able to put it to movies or video games to create my own music videos. I like shooting guns and playing with swords. Right now though I am serving a 2 year mission in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I've served in Wisconsin and am in Minnesota right now and am loving every minute of it! I am a brother to 5 brothers and 3 sisters, I grew up on a farm in Idaho driving tractors, and I love the Gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that it is true for myself. Even though I grew up in a community where everyone was Mormon and I grew up Mormon. I knew that there was no way I was going to be able to continue relying on someone else's testimony. There was a while were I didn't follow what the church teaches in my life and only felt the sorrow that came from not following the savior and his teachings in my life. I eventually learned that if I wanted to be happy I needed to change for the better. This change came over time and as a result of a lot of prayer and keeping the commandments, I am very happy and grateful to the Savior and his restored church in these days. It is the greatest blessing in my life to be a member of this church. Without it I never would have joined a church and would never have known the goodness of God and his love for not only all of us collectivley, but individually as well. I can't imagine a life as good as one of a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not only being an example to others, but also to help people with whatever they need. I have many friends in and out of the church and want to help them in whatever they do in there lives. Currently I am serving a mission and can only provide so much help for them because they are so far away. At the same time though, I am able to help people I don't even know and feel the love that God has for them as well as for me. I love to teach people about the gospel and wouldn't trade anything in the world for it! It is amazing to see the change in people as they learn about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and how there lives are always changed for the better, no matter where they are in life.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Brandon Robinson
Absotivly Posilutly! The Bible has been the Word of God and will always be the word of God. However, when the Bible was compiled after the death of the Christ and the Apostles were killed, there were many important truths that have been changed due to misunderstanding, lost due to carelessness in translation, or things that have yet to be found. The Bible is the history of the Jews and inspirational writings of the prophets and is certainly the Word of God, but it is not perfect. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Brandon Robinson
It is another testament of Jesus Christ, it is the writings of the prophets and history of the people that lived in the Americas around 600 BC and 420 AD, and contains, as does the Bible the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is definitly the word of God. Used with the Bible, it helps us understand the teachings of Christ, allows us to know the teachings and doctrine of Jesus Christ fully and draws us closer to God when we follow what is taught. Everyone can know that the Book of Mormon is true by reading it, pondering it, and praying about it. I know that if anyone will do this with a sincere heart, having faith in Jesus Christ, and having real intent meaning you will act on the answer you receive that they will receive an answer by the Holy Ghost. I did that, and I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and nothing can change that. Show more Show less
