Hi I'm Randy

I grew up in Idaho and have been an auto-dealer for over 30 years. I have served in the Idaho Legislature and love to backpack.

About Me

I have spent most of my life in the automobile industry. I have found that I can live a life of integrity and be in an industry that doesn't have the best reputation. I and my wife love our time together. We love the smell of a new car. My wife and I love to jet ski and enjoy our wonderful family. Out Grand Children are very special and they know how to get anything they want from Grammy and Baumpa. We love our family more than anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found the answers to many of life's questions through my association with the church. When I was first learning of the church I loved the feelings of the Spirit that I felt when I attended meetings and studied the scriptures. As I have spent my life searching for the true nature of God I have come to receive a witness of Jesus Christ and his mission. I love the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Living as a Latter-day-Saint is truly a life time commitment. I feel such peace as I read my scriptures daily and pray to a loving Heavenly Father. As a family we pray together and it brings us together in unity and love. We not only worship on Sunday but every day of the week.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Randy
Everything can be solved by the atonement of Christ. People often ask what is the most important event ever and my response is the atonement. Everything that occurred before and after the moment in Gethsemane when Christ took all of our sorrows, all of our pains and later took the sting of death away with his dieing and resurection on the cross. Thus he overcame the spiritual and physical death of mankind. I know this is true. I love my savior and I know that peace comes when we turn our lives over to him. He is the Son of God, my redeamer, my friend. Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Randy
I have had the oppertunity to serve as both a Bishop and as a Stake President. Being a Bishop I had the welfare of about 450 members of my congregation. I received no monitary compensation for this but did recieve bounteous blessings from serving. My term of service was for five years in a regular ward and three years serving over a young single adult ward. Oh how I loved the people I served. Recently I was released from serving as a Stake President for nine years. My Stake consisted of about 3100 members in the city of Twin Falls Idaho. I helped the Bishops and other leaders meet the spiritual and physical needs of the members of our Stake. Oh how I love the members of my Stake. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Randy
It has been my privilege to serve in many capacities in the church. We do not have a paid clergy so it is important that every member do there best to serve others. Weather it be serving as a primary teacher or a bishop. All pitch in and serve one another. When all the members of a ward serve one another there the spiritual and physical needs of the ward members are met. It is an amazing thing to see such service. This church is not one where you sit on the sidelines but help one another. Show more Show less
