Hi I'm Jenn

I grew up in Utah, live in Tennessee with my husband and 4 children. I love to teach and sew. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 4 sweet little children. 2 boys, 2 girls, all under the age of six! I love outdoor activities, exercising, sewing, and baking yummy treats. I homeschool my two boys. I graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science Education--a fancy way of saying Home Ec. Ed. I teach sewing classes at a local fabric shop. I love life!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon and taught the Gospel by my parents. Of course, now that I'm an adult I could choose another path. But I will never do that because I have had the witness of the Holy Ghost testify to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church upon the earth. I have studied the scriptures, prayed, fasted, and pondered many times different Gospel principles, and I have always had the Spirit burn within my heart that those principles are true. When I was 19, I lived in Ecuador for 5 months doing medical and dental service as well as working in orphanages. I met hundreds of people in depressed situations. I couldn't help but wonder, 'where do they find peace?' The answer came easily to my mind that the only source of true peace is through the Savior Jesus Christ and His restored church.

How I live my faith

Some days as a stay at home mother are very discouraging. It is the times that I'm feeling down that I rely on the Savior the very most and my faith grows. Each day that I pray and allow the Savior to help me in my mothering and overcome my feelings of self-doubt and discouragement, I am reminded how much Christ loves me! Being a mom has been challenging, but I know I can do it with the Lord's help. People at the grocery store or other places that see me with my 4 little children often ask me, 'are all those yours?' or comment, 'wow, you've got your hands full'. Yes, the kids keep me busy, but I respond to those onlookers by saying, 'you should see how full my heart is'. My children and my husband make me more happy than anything else this world has to offer. I live my faith each day by loving and nurturing my family with the help of the Savior Jesus Christ.
