Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm an aspiring writer, a compulsive doodler, an avid reader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. I am working for a CPA as her office manager. I use to mentor in a public speaking lab helping others with their presentation skills and continue to share my knowledge about interpersonal communication whenever I can. I was married in the Gilbert, Arizona temple last year. We are learning and growing together as we settle into our new life as a couple. I love to read, write stories, and draw. I hope someday that the novels I am writing will be published.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and it has always been a part of my life. I've struggled from time to time to know with surety if aspects of the gospel are true, but I've learned that my testimony comes in small steps. Each time I say a prayer and see it come true, each time I live a certain principle of the gospel and see the blessings that come from it, I am reminded of the truth and my faith is strengthened. But even though I have my moments of doubt, I have always had this underlying sense of peace and direction in my life I have come to realize is the spirit. That is what sustains me through the worst of it, and I can feel the strongest when I'm living the gospel and attending church regularly. I'm not going to give that up!

How I live my faith

When people are interested in learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and our church, they are invited to meet with the full-time missionaries, people who have volunteered to go on missions in places away from their own homes. To help the missionaries in these new locations, people in each ward (congregation) are called (asked to serve) as ward missionaries. They meet with the missionaries, investigators, and recent converts to help answer questions, share their understanding of the gospel, and introduce them to the ward. I have been called as a ward missionary and love the chance to teach others about who we are and what we believe.
