Hi I'm Katrina

I'm a full time high school teacher, a part time missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from Wyoming but currently live in Arizona. I am a teacher of the best subject EVER, yes, MATH! My “part time job” is my calling as a Ward Missionary. I am absolutely obsessed with doing missionary work and spend EVERY chance I get with the sister missionaries. I served in the Texas McAllen Mission, it changed my life, and I promised to NEVER let my mission wear off. Relationships are SUPER important to me. My family and friends mean the world to me and I try my best to let them know that. I love being active, it doesn’t really matter what I am doing. Some of my favorite things are wakeboarding and dancing any kind really.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in what we refer to as a “part member family”, I didn’t realize this until my mission! But basically that means that my mom is a member and my dad is not. Because of this religion was always very much a choice in my home. Although my mom taught us and encouraged us to go to church and participate in church things, it wasn’t ever something that was forced, especially because my dad wasn’t doing those things. At first I went along with my mom just because she wanted me to, however as time progressed I quickly learned that true happiness comes only through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to happy, truly happy, because of that I choose to follow the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ and our Prophet President Monson and serving EVERY chance I get. I share the Gospel whenever I can. I serve my friends and family, and pretty much anyone that will let me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ’s Church once again upon the earth, but don’t expect anyone to take my word for it. We encourage all people to find out for themselves. The Book of Mormon is basically the foundation of all of our beliefs, once a person knows that is true they know that Joseph Smith truly was a Prophet of God, and that he restored Christ’s Church back to the earth. So if you really want to know if it is true you have to 1 Read the Book of Mormon, not the whole thing, just parts of it. 2 Question it and ponder about it and most importantly 3 PRAY! Ask God if it’s true. He is the source of ALL TRUTH and will answer your prayer. The way he will answer you is by the Holy Ghost, or feelings of peace, joy, love, etc! Show more Show less
