Hi I'm Geneva

I am an athletic trainer, a high school science teacher, and most recently a mother.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After careers in athletic training and secondary education, I now have the privilege of staying home with my new baby girl. I love the awkwardness of teenagers, exercise, the dentist, making things, absurdity, and staying up too late watching ridiculous movies with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I was born and raised a Mormon, but I still am because I have always been encouraged to find out the truth for myself. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to find out if it is true. The answer is yes. Whenever doubts try and creep up about anything in the church, it always comes back to my faith in the Book of Mormon and its teachings. If it is true, then all of it is true. Then I look at what makes me the happiest in my life and I see that all of it can be traced back to the gospel and its principles. So why am I a Mormon? To put it simply, because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be kind and serve other people. In my local congregation I work with the 8-11 year old girls. We have activities twice a month where we meet and learn about gospel principles and life skills. Serving in the church has shown me what amazing people today's youth can be,
