Hi I'm Hank Stowers

I live in Big Creek, West Virginia. My faith in Christ is unshakeable. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for twenty three years to a wonderful woman. She is not a member of the church-yet. All things come in God's time. We have a wonderful son who was raised in the church. He is twenty, serving in the Army National Guard and attending college. I work in the powersports business as the finance manager. I am blessed to have my job. I love my family very much. I have one brother that is very special to me. Family has always been the most important part of my life. We were sealed to our parents in October 1984. What a blessing to know that families are forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I prayed to my Father in Heaven whether or not this was His church and I received an answer to my prayer. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son. I know he is a prophet of God. I know the Book of Mormon is the most correct scripture on Earth. This is His church restored in these latter days. I was raised in the church but strayed in my youth. I was inactive for 15 years. I tried other religions but just didn't feel the spirit. I decided one day that I could not in good conscience raise my son without him knowing God and the true doctrine of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as branch president in Logan,WV. We have such dedicated and faithful followers of Christ in our branch. It is a humbling experience to serve the Lord. I couldn't do it without the support of my brothers and sisters.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Hank Stowers
Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of our Heavenly Father. He came to this earth to fulfill His mission- and that mission was to give us an opportunity to be with our Heavenly Father again. we cannot save ourselves. It took a sacrifice. And Jesus Christ offered himself as that sacrifice for us. No one can even imagine the pain our Savior felt in the Garden Of Gesthemene when He willingly took upon Himself the sins of the world. Not just our sins-but the sins of every person who has lived before and will live in the future. Jesus died on the cross for us. He could have anytime said enough and ended it. But He didn't. He loves us that much. And the resurrection is a testament of Him breaking the bands of death. Through Him we are all promised ressurection and given the opportunity to be with Him and our Heavenly Father again as perfected beings. Show more Show less
