Hi I'm Ashlee Higley

I love life, I love Idaho, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ashlee, I am 20 years old, and come from the small town or Preston Idaho. I come from a family of 6 with two brothers and three sisters. My father is a real estate agent as well as the local the high school science teacher and as such I have been raised to love learning. After high school I attended BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, I lived there for a year and earned my associates degree. I am now attending BYU in Provo Utah and I am working hard to earn my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I love being a part of the education field and I hope that someday I will be able to touch the lives of thousands through my teaching efforts. I hope to continue learning through out my entire life, and to share the knowledge that I have gained with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my many experiences and the knowledge I have gained about the truthfulness of the Church. Despite being raised in the church I wasn't fully converted to the gospel until I left home and really had to rely on my Savior for help and support. as a young adult I have come to know my Savior through in-depth study and reflection of His scriptures, especially the New Testament. As I started my journey for truth I found a sure knowledge of Christ. once I gained a Testimony of Christ I knew that this was His Church, Restored again through His Prophet Joseph Smith. Simply Put, I believe in Christ, and because I believe in Him, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for a period of eighteen months in Orlando Florida. During this time will give all my time and effort to serving others and inviting them to come unto Christ. This service is particularly meaningful to me because not only do I have the opportunity to make many new and lasting friendships, but I will also be able to grow closer to my Father in Heaven. Serving others is a vital part of how I live my faith, it is a physical expression of my inward love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I look to them in all I do and I pray each day that I will be able to find those in need of hearing the Gospel. Other ways I live my faith besides serving a mission are a huge part of my life. as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I strive daily to follow the perfect example of our Savior. I have a firm belief in doing what's right and I show it by loving and serving all those who are around me. Because of my faith and the things I know to be true I have guidance in my life and I can feel secure in knowing that my life has a purpose and it is guided by the hand of God.
