Hi I'm Megan

I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a girl that enjoys the outdoors and playing sports. I enjoy making things. Whether it's food or furniture; I get a thrill from creating something new. I currently am a college student living away from home in a place that was very new to me. However, new experiences are also something that I enjoy. Change and the challenges that accompany those changes are all a part of life. Learning how to deal with them is just part of the fun.

Why I am a Mormon

The initial reason why I am a Mormon is because my parents are Mormon. However, my family wasn't always "active" members of the church. I was born into an "inactive" family. When I was five years old I attended a baptism where my uncle spoke about family prayer and the importance of praying together as a family. Of course I was listening intently as all children at age five would do and hearing something contrary to what was done in my home I piped up, "We don't do that!" That very same year one of my friends invited me to attend church with her. I went to primary where I remember having such an overwhelming feeling (even at such a young age) that made me feel that I was suppose to be at this church. It made me feel at home. My testimony came through my family, experiences, and the challenges that I have faced. Small confirmations to my heart that provided me with the knowledge that I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know it with all my heart that Joseph Smith had a vision and was able to receive revelation and through the help of the Lord he was able to translate The Book of Mormon. I know that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson, who receives revelation to lead and guide the church. I know that marriage and families are eternal. I will be able to have a "happily ever after" for all of eternity. I know it's true with all my heart and mind.

How I live my faith

"...that by small and simple means are great things are brought to pass..." -Alam 37:6 I live through example. I try to have the way that I talk, dress and act reflect what I believe. I refrain from using language that offends and try to always dress modestly. I like to set an example. I enjoy sharing and giving service to others. Through church I am presented with the opportunities to serve others through various callings. I enjoy helping :D
