Hi I'm Mike

My Wife and I have 4 great children and have been married since 2002. We love to camp, Swim and play games together.

About Me

I was born to two loving parents in Wichita, KS and have 5 siblings. I served a fulltime mission in beautiful Costa Rica, San Jose Mission and attended school in Utah. I married in 2002 at the Mount Timpanogos Temple in Utah, and now have 4 energetic and loving children. Life throws curve balls, and in 2007 my third child was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at 18 months. This challenge has brought many blessings to our family and we are stronger because of it. As a Family we love to plays games, camp in the Rocky Mountains, hike and eat! My wife and I love "Triple D" recommended restaurants and eat at them when ever we have a chance. Each year my wife and I make it a priority to go on vacation together and recharge, I enjoy my time with my wife. We also Love March madness and rooting for our favorite college basketball teams KU and now Wichita State! We really enjoy life and all the great things it has to offer. We love Colorado!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have had the oppertunity to grow a personal testimony of why I want to share the gospel with my children. It has been apart of my life since i can remember. I have had several experiences in my life that have shaped my belief in my Savior and his Gospel. I have received a personal witness after several prayers and fasting fo answers, that the Gospel that I was taught as a child and in my youth is the same that was taught by Jesus when he was on this earth. This past year my little daughter had a diabetic seizure. when we found her she was not able to move her right side. Seeing her in that state terrified us. we immediatly prayed and asked our family and friends to pray for her. as we prayed we felt the comfort that is only found from a loving Father in Heavan. The many prayers that were offered that day were answered and our little girl made a full recovery. The power of prayer and faith in that prayer helped me through that time of need. Those are the principals I was taught as a child. i know that my faith in this gospel is what brings true peace and happiness to my life. I know that Jesus is the Christ and his sacrifice for me will allow me to have an eternal family and will take the illness from my daughter.

How I live my faith

I am a Boy Scout leader and a primary teacher in my church. I also have been a soccer coach for my childrens soccer teams. I love working with the youth of the church and love the great joy they bring to life. I have been serving in the church for a long time. I served a Mission in Costa Rica, I have taught sunday school, have organized church activities and have organized missionary activities. I love to work in the church because it allows me to help others and keeps me focused giving service rather than being selfish. Right now I get to teach little children about our Savior and his mission. I think I learn more each Sunday than the kids as I teach.
