Hi I'm Josh

I am a husband and a father. I am also a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just like most people, working to get by. Everyday is a challenge to try and keep in balance all that life requires of one who is married, has a child, is going to school and trying to find a job. Despite the balancing act required by life, I find the time to enjoy my family. Life is great!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, while this is a factor in why I am a Mormon, it is really from my own experiences and learning that I have come to know my savior, Jesus Christ and his gospel. A starting point of my faith for me, is when I was a young man, my family was sitting around listening to my father teach us about prayer. I remember feeling grieved because I was not talking to God through prayer. It is amazing how a simple lesson touched me so much. Through this experience, along with many others, accompanied by study, has helped me to come to know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is my savior. I know that prophets are on the earth to speak for God. I have learned and know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that those who read and live its teaching will, as I have, come to better know their Savior, Jesus Christ, and feel of his great love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply putting effort in trying to learn and apply the teachings of Christ's gospel in my everyday life. It has helped me become who I am and brought a lot of happiness to my life and family. Another way I live my faith is by serving in the church. I currently serve as a member that presides over a local congregation made up of college students. I feel a great love and desire for them to make those choices in their lives that will help them be better, draw closer Christ and do those things that will allow them to return to him. I feel blessed in this way to watch over, teach and guide these young people as I know Christ would do if he were here. This ability to serve others, is a blessing and an opportunity for my faith to grow as well.
