Hi I'm Jesse

I have been on my mission in Michigan for over a year and I am loving it and I am a Mormon

About Me

Well, back home I worked a lot of different jobs, but my favorite one had to be working on people's computers. I cleaned up computers that had viruses and had a lot of different issues. I love Longboarding, Snowboarding, Wakeboarding, Kneeboarding and playing call of duty. I am big into gaming, but I love hanging out with all of my buddies. Nine times out of ten I would rather hang out with a group of friends than sith their by myself and waste away in front of a tv screen. Sometimes wasting away can be fun though. It depends on what mood I am in.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I am from California and I am serving a mission in Michigan, so I would have to really believe this is true to want to go to Michigan. I know this is true because there were to many things that have happened to me for me to be able to deny this church. I love being a member of this church because of the amazing evidence that we have that this church is true and that is the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God by the divine witness of the Holy Spirit. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith? That is a tough one... I am in Michigan! I have been on a full time proselyting Mission in Michigan for almost a year and I have enjoyed the many opportunities to talk to people about this Gospel that I have had so far and I will enjoy the many more opportunities that I will have. Back home I stood out like a sore thumb among my friends. My nickname in High School was "mormon". I guess how I live this faith is just to do my best to walk in the footsteps that Christ leaves for us and to do my best to be like Him.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jesse
"For we labor diligently to write, to apersuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God for we know that it is by by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." 2 Nephi 2523 We believe that we access the Grace of Jesus Christ by keeping the commandments  Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Jesse
We believe that God has always given his children commandments because he loves us and wants to protect us from the dangers of the adversary or Satan. God also wishes to bless us and when we obey the laws God has given us then we recieve a blessing.See D&C 130 20-21 We believe that we have been given a commandment to not drink coffee, tea, alcohol or tobacco not just because they are bad for you, but because it is a commandment from God and God has promised us many blessings when we obey this commandment See D&C 89. I know that you can come to know that this is not just a good idea for health reasons, but that to stay away from these things is a commandment from God if you seek him out in sincere prayer. God will answer your Questions See James chapter 1 verse 5.  Show more Show less
