Hi I'm Chelsi!

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California. I love math and helping others! I am the youngest of five. I have three brothers and one sister, and five nieces and two nephews. I love my family so much. They mean the world to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. My parents are members their parents are members... I even have pioneer ancestors who crossed the plains.

How I live my faith

The most important way how I live my faith by being a good example to others. Talking about the church is not a strong point for me, especially since I have been made fun of for being a member of this church. However when someone asks me sincerely about the church, I will greatly share the gospel and the reason why it's the best part of my life! Also, as I studied math education at BYU-Idaho, we were taught to teach by the spirit and to incorporate the standards of the church while teaching math! Kinda sounds weird and against the Church and State law doesn't it? Well I don't preach to the students, but I do try to get them to understand the importance of obeying the rules and doing their best in and out of school and how rewarding it is to them as well as to others!

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Chelsi!
Tithing is giving back to the Lord, and though it might seem a lot or could be hard to do, I just think of all the things I have been blessed with and I remember that the Lord has given me everything, so giving 10% back to Him is a joy and shows my gratitude of my Heavenly Father and my gratitude of this church!
