Hi I'm Megi.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three girls and as of two months ago, one boy! I get to stay home with my kids every day, teach them what I can, watch them grow, and mostly learn just how much of life I can handle. Being a mom is worth every second, but it is the hardest job I have ever encountered and its demands are constantly changing. I earned my Bachelors in political science. I enjoy sports, coaching high school soccer, helping with the local junior miss program, take out nights with my husband, music, summer nights, bbqs and family campouts...

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints however, living in a place with not many members of my faith prompted questions from friends which in turn required me to do a little soul searching. Why should I try to live up to high standards if none of it were really true? Why get teased or pressured by peers? I prayed. I read the scriptures. I prayed some more. And then I knew. It was not a gut instinct or the easiest path to take. The Spirit of the Lord confirmed to my heart that this was the true church. And every time I pray earnestly or seek for answers to problems in my life or ponder on the life of my Savior, Jesus Christ, the Spirit tells me again that it is all true, that I am living for something, and that I have great worth as a child of God. I need the peace that comes from doing my best to live how my Heavenly Father wants me to. And the peace does come.

How I live my faith

I simply do the best I can to live as God would want me to. I am far from perfect. I make mistakes daily, hourly even, but I keep trying. I have the opportunity to teach the kids at church ages 3-11 about Jesus Christ and how much He loves them. These kids LOVE to sing about being children of God and about Jesus Christ. They have such sweet little hearts and when they sing, you can't help but feel the love that God has for each one of us, and especially His little ones who see life for the beautiful thing that it is before we complicate it with things that maybe aren't so important. I come together with my family every Monday night and spend time together playing, singing, and talking about things that our family specifically needs, whether that may be learning to be honest or helping out around the house. We pray together as a family and read out of the scriptures together. We do what we can do to help each other and those around us to always be the best we can be. Life isn't perfect, and yet that is what makes it exciting. We learn and we grow and we can do it together.
