Hi I'm Carrie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I met in the Boise State student ward in August 2005. By January 2006 we were dating and we married one year later on January 5, 2007. My husband received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in December 2009 and I received my Associate of Arts in May 2009 and Bachelor of Arts in Communication in May 2010. We both graduated from Boise State - once a Bronco, always a Bronco. We expanded our little family in December 2009 when we welcomed our first little boy into the world. He is a handful and a total ham! He absolutely loves performing for people and takes advantage whenever he can - which is sometimes very embarrassing. We had our first daughter on April 3, 2011. She is beautiful and already very advanced! My husband just started his first post-graduate job as an engineer. So far he seems to like everything about the job...except the 1.5 hour bus ride at 5 am! But even with the 1.5 hours back he is usually home by 6 pm which we all love! After working for nearly 5 years at a local real estate company, followed by running my own business for two years, I have decided to dedicate myself to the most important work of all - taking care of my family! Life is great. We are so very fortunate for the people and things we have in our lives and can't wait for what the future will bring!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family that has a strong heritage in the church. However, I think it is important to know that I am a faithful member of the church because of my own testimony that has been built over the years. I have not always been the kid who made the right choices all the time. I have learned through the power of the Atonement that we can return to our Heavenly Father. I have a firm belief in the gospel and I know that it was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I believe that President Thomas S Monson is the true and living prophet.

How I live my faith

I feel it is very important to live my faith conspicuously. There is no need to hide that which I know is true. I currently am a leader for our ward's Activity Day Girls, which are the 8-11 year old girls. Through activities twice a month we help the girls develop skills and learn things that will help them draw closer to Christ. We recently moved, prior to our moving I taught several classes in the primary. I taught kids from 18 months to 12 years old as I was moved around often. It was a lot of fun. I LOVE working with the kids and especially seeing their little eyes light up when they understand something.
