Hi I'm Heidi

I am a wife and a mother of 5, which makes me a cook, a maid, a barber, a storyteller, a chauffeur and a friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 5 beautiful children and the wife of a very handsome gentleman. I am taking a photography class right now so I can learn how to capture their every day expressions and create lasting memories as beautiful as they are. I love being a mom. So much of what defines me as a person is based on my role as a wife and a mother, my family means everything to me and I would do any thing for them. I don't love to cook, but I have a husband who does. I do like to clean though, so together we make a good team. We live in a modest sized, old fixer upper home, but we have a great backyard for the kids. We love to go camping as a family and it's even something my teenage son likes to do with us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I choose to be. Not because I was baptized at 8 and my parents told me it was the right thing to do, but because I have seen the difference in my life that has come by choosing to live as a mormon. I haven't always made the right choices, so I can honestly say that living this way now, by choice, is what brings real lasting joy, and not the counterfeit "pleasure" the world has to offer. I know this peace and happiness only comes from my Savior Jesus Christ. He is the reason I am who I am today. He made it possible for me to be forgiven and to live with God again some day. And He made it possible for me to be truly happy in this life as well.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, but I try to live my faith everyday. It's what influences every decision I make. Whether I take back the extra change the clerk gave me or how I react to a bad driver on the freeway or how I interact with others not of my faith. And although I don't always act Christ-like in every situation, I do think about how I've acted afterwards and that's when His influence helps me either continue what I am doing or it gently nudges me to make improvements. I work with the young women in my ward and I don't try to pretend that I am doing everything right, in fact I tell them that because I mess up so much I need a Savior and that repentance is an everyday decision. I love working with the youth! I have also been in Cub Scouts for 10 years and I absolutely love it. I think that if I can give even one child a boost in life I've done my job.
