Hi I'm Teddy

I am from the middle of no-where Utah, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So the "about me" section is such a wonderful section I can ramble on about myself and no-one can interrupt. I am the 4th of eight children, and 3rd of 4 boys, I am told I have that "middle child" syndrome, which is just fine with me. I enjoy everything outdoors, from fishing, to rappelling, hiking, hunting etc... and also enjoy just about any sport, basketball, and baseball being among my top choices. I also love to swing dance, as well as ballroom, luckily you don't have to be too good at something to enjoy it though right? Although I have attended one year of college, and enjoyed it immensly I decided to put that aside to serve a mission and teach the gospel that I have seen bless my life. I have now been out just over a year, and the growth that I have seen in my own self as well as those that I have helpped bring the gospel to is amazing. It's true and I'm so grateful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a mormon is because I was lucky enough to be born into a family consisting of my mom who has been a life long member, to my dad who was a convert to the church. I had 3 older siblings, and my parents Worked hard to live the gospel and teach by example more then anything else. Our family grew throughout my life to contain 8 children. It was a crazy household, living off a teacher's salary with such a large family was not easy. I learned early the principle of sacrifice, and the difference between needs, and wants. Not always enjoyable, but principles that have really helped me as I've grown. Living in a home where the gosple of Jesus Christ is not only taught, but lived really showed me that there is a power behind it, call that power love, patience, charity, call it what you will but that power came from living the principles that we were taught. Yes I was born a mormon and often times I have heard it said that, "Of course you're a mormon, you were raised that way" to that I reply, Yes I was born that way, I was raised that way, and I thank god everyday for that. But even more then being "born" that way I continued to live me life that way because I know that the things I was taught are true. Through prayer, and practice of them I have come to see that it brings about love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, which any of you who know the scripture found in Galatins 5:22, knows that those are all the fruits of the spirit, and those fruits of the spirit are found in all goodness and righteousness and truth proving what is acceptable to the Lord Ephesians 59-10 I know it's true. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

By waking up day to day with the intent to try and be the best person that I can be. And by focusing on the atonement of jesus christ and his love for me.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Teddy
As you allow missionaries to enter your home they should have one, and only one purpose in mind. That is to teach and invite your family to come closer to Jesus Christ. What they teach, allows those who really wish to draw closer to our saviour, to do so. How his life, teachings, and death can help you; as well as those you hold dear, your family and friends. Become better followers of him. Show more Show less
