Hi I'm Katie.

I'm a sister, a friend, a student... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm eighteen years old. I live with both my parents and my younger brothers and sister. We love to play board games and spend time together. I play the violin and the viola with my friends and family, and love music. I read all the time and love to hang out in the library. I'm good with English and History, but not so great with Science and Math. I love to write poetry and prose. Something that most people don't know about me is that I love to do Genealogy. I've been involved with my family history since I was fourteen years old and am the youngest worker in our family history library.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. I'm a second generation Mormon. I haven't always had what you would call a strong testimony, but I have grown to love this gospel. Any problem I have can be solved by reading the Book of Mormon, and I can feel God's love for me so strongly that its hard to believe he's not in the room. I know that this is the true church of Christ on the earth today and that it can bring joy to any man or woman on this earth. It is for today as much as it was for the Saints in the past.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday from nine to twelve. I'm still in the youth program so I also get to attend a lot of youth group activities and dances with all the other youth in my area. I volunteer in the Family History Center in my town and have a lot of respect for those that I work with both there and those that I work with in all areas of the church. I try to share my happiness with those around me whenever I can. I can feel a deep love as I help them to learn and gain a testimony of my Father in Heaven.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. The Book of Mormon is another testiment of Jesus Christ. We believe in the Bible, both Old and New Testiment. We end our prayers in his name. More than these, we try to live like Jesus Christ. We build our lives based on his example and his teachings. His atonement gives all man hope and the ability to keep growing. Yes.
