Hi I'm Jeff

I am a Social Worker and love cultural diversity and the Mountains. I am an adoptive father and...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a child and family counselor, recently completed a Master's Degree in Social Work, and am the father of two adopted daughters. I completed a 24 year career in the Air Force, and I love Diversity, Cultural Awareness, the outdoors, serving in the church, and my family. We love to travel together and to camp...well, half of us love it, and the other half tolerate it. -

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by a close friend who taught me the principles of the gospel, which answered some of the core questions I had been pondering for several years like Why am I here? What is the purpose of life? and What happens after this life?. The answers not only made sense but felt very right. Even after I knew it was true, I was still very reluctant to commit to a new faith and total lifestyle change. I struggled with the decision quite intensely and while on my knees in prayer, pleading for a sign from the Lord, I received a definite answer that my decision was right and that I should be baptized. That was nearly 30 years ago, and the decision to accept the Gospel and join the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints not only changed my life but has brought me peace and joy in countless ways. I treasure my relationship with the Savior and my membership in His church!

How I live my faith

I have served in many ways over the years in both church service and the community. I have served in leadership roles for the youth of the church, for Scouts, and in Community Youth organizations. I love to Teach and have taught Diversity and Human Relations in the Military and community and have been on Human Rights groups and have planned many Cultural Awareness events and continue to plan the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration events for our local community. I currently serve in the missionary program helping to coordinate the teaching of the gospel. Most importantly I am a father and husband!
