Hi I'm Austin

I'm a Mormon from St. George, Utah and lovein' it.

About Me

I am a 21 year old college student. I am a sophmore going to school full time, play baseball on my college's team, and work part time. I love being outdoors and physical activity as well as reading and learning. I am the oldest of 4 kids and love my awesome family. Although I am busy I try and make The Gospel of Jesus Christ the main focus of my life. It shapes everything about me. Who I am, what I do, and how I act. I know that through living the gospel I will live a happy and blessed life and be able to help others. I recently returned from a LDS mission in Taipei, Taiwan which was a wonderful experience that I would trade for anything. I learned many things while serving the lord including the doctrines and principles of the gospel, how to listen to and follow the spirit, how to study, teach, and plan, and I learned to love the scriptures The Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price as well as the words of modern and living prophets and had incredible experiences that have helped to strengthen my conviction and testimony of the restored gospel and gain a greater appreciation of it in my life. Those two years helped me develop a whole new perspective on life and I have seen the atomement and gospel of Jesus Christ immesurably bless my life and the lives of others. This is truely the Lord's work and Church. He lives and loves us. I know this and anyone else who wants to can know it too.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon. My whole family is Mormon but that is not the only or even major reason why I am Mormon. I was taught to follow Christ from a young age but I, like everyone, have wondered and at times even doubted the things I have been taught. But through living the gospel and keeping the commandments and seeing/feeling the results, blessings, and joy that comes from that along with extensive prayer and scripture study, specificly the Book of Mormon, I have been able to realize through experience and gain a witness from the spirit of my own that the Church and its teachings are true. Now the gospel means everything to me. It provides direction, hope, faith, happiness, joy, peace, knowledge, understanding, certainty, reassurance, motivation and a means that I can live with God and my family forever in perfect harmony.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have been called to organize activities for the members as well as visit certain people to make sure that they are doing well and help provide for their needs the second part is called home teaching. But when first contemplating how I live my faith I thought of another aspect of my life. A more common day to day one. I believe that living our faith is reflected in our day to day activities. It is a way of life. For me living my faith means following Jesus Christ and doing as he did by caring for and serving others, keeping the commandments and living a pure, vurtuous, and chased life, keeping acitons and words clean, and doing all I can to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I try to be obedient to the teachings of Christ and his prophets and help others do so as well by strengthening them and sharing with them what I know and believe.
