Hi I'm Shannan

I'm a Mormon. i'm a wife, and a mom and a grandma!

About Me

i have four children and one grandson. I love being with my children and my husband. I enjoy walking with my husband and being outdoors. Being with my children on any occasion makes me so happy and grateful for the opportunity to be a mother. I enjoy working with children i'm a health clerk at an elementary school I love that I get the chance everyday to make children feel loved and let them know they matter. i love spending time with my husband and children in our garden or working in our yard. My greatest joy will be the day that I can spend in the temple with all my children and their families present. I love to spend time with my extended family as well. From the time I was young I have loved being part of a family and being with cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles. I consider myself so lucky to have come from such an amazing family and to have parents who taught me so much about my ancestors. I am sure that many blessings in my life are due to the great sacrifices that were made by my ancestors because of their faith and courage. I hope that I can live my life in a way the will bless my children and grandchildren and so on. That my posterity will know how much I loved them and how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

First because my parents and their parents and their parents were mormon and from their examples and experiences in life its given direction and daily strength and courage for whatever is put before me. more importantly than that i know that this is the saviors church and i know that he leads us and i feel his love and comfort for me personally and have experienced his love for me and for my family. the church gives me purpose and hope and happiness and it makes sense to me.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the children for many many years both in the community and at church. I have also worked with the youth for many years. I have also worked with in the women's program at church for many years. in every single one of these programs i have developed a great love for the people i work with. I feel that the experiences have helped me be more grateful for my life and my own family. There are so many people of all ages that need compassion and love. I have participated in community activities and my children's school activities PTA, Class room aid I have also worked in the public schools for many years and have always felt like it was a blessing and try to be an example of what i believe and show kindness and love for those i'm around and let them know that they matter and are important to me and to others.

In whom should we have faith?

First we need to have faith in our Father in Heave and in the Savior Jesus Christ. Second we need to have faith in ourselves and our loved ones. It is through faith that anything is possible. With help from our Father in Heaven and the Savior we can accomplish great things. I believe that every child needs people around them to have faith in them and to tell them this. They will accomplish great things when they feel this. Faith is not something seen but is something felt. I know that having faith in the Savior can bring great comfort to our lives.
