Hi I'm Molly.

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, who loves to read, write stories, "yardening", bike. I've run 3 marathons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 28. It was one of the best decisions I made in my life. I used to be an elementary school teacher and loved teaching! I found that when I told stories about values that it set the mood for the day. I play the violin and piano a little bit. I'm a mother of 7 adult children with many varied careers from arborist, CPA, attorney, firefighter, PA, teacher, and Wild Life Research. I have lived and traveled to/in many different areas of the world from Kwajalein, M.I., Saudi Arabia, Japan, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Zimbabwe and Europe. I ran my first marathon when I was 40 and still nursing our 7th child, Katie. Exercise is a part of who I am. I'm a vegetarian.

Why I am a Mormon

Having experienced going to a Baptist Church as a child, being allowed to go to whatever church I wished in 6th grade, loving babysitting for Jewish families as a teenager, and meeting my husband singing in the 1st Presbyterian Church gave me many varied experiences in differing religions. My grandmother, Nana, joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 75, the year my husband and I were married in the 1st Presbyterian Church. We took the missionary discussions off and on for the next 4 years. We always felt something lovely when the missionaries were teaching and with us. This feeling left when they left. Why did we not get baptized sooner? We wanted to make sure that we could be 100% members of the Church, not just 50% members. After being baptized, and having hindsight, my only regret is that I didn't get baptized sooner! I know that "truth is truth" where ever one finds it! I was once asked by a non-member why I was a Mormon and my one word reply was "truth!" I know that all the truths in life, be it secular, math, science, music, art, religious... fit into one great whole! In my understanding and learning about God's plan for happiness, I know that all truths are found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the Savior in all that I do, say, think, feel and how I love others. My personal formula is called PSS. A long time ago, there was a song called, "PS I Love You" PSS stands for "Prayer, Scriptures and Service!" I find when I sincerely pray with my heart, read scriptures daily and do service wherever I'm directed, whether it be in my own family, neighborhood, community or church service, I feel joy and happiness. I believe that one person can make a difference for good in our world today and know this is true. I find when I ask our Father in Heaven what He would have me do today, I'm always directed. I believe that we create our attitude and we can choose to be positive, happy, cheerful where ever we are! I love what I call the "L" words and try to live them each day. They are: laugh, love, life, listen, learn, look, lift, loyalty, labor, lead, live! (pehaps you can think of some other "L" words?)
