Hi I'm Ellen Williams

I love to perform! I am a student studying theatre education. And I volunteer with kids whose parents have cancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at a four year university. I am studying Theatre Arts Education hoping to eventually be an AMAZING drama teacher. I was recently married to the man of my dreams. I am the oldest of four kids and my family is one of the most important things in my life. They are my best friends. I love to sing, dance, and act. Performing is my passion. I also love to read and watch chick flicks. My favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice. I love shoes and pink is my favorite color. I have been a member my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church of Christ. Not because my parents expect me to be Mormon or forced me but because I have had personal confirmation of the truthfulness of this gospel. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I have had a witness of its truthfulness. I have also prayed to know whether or not Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God who received a vision of the Father and the Son. I know that this is the restored gospel of Christ led by latter day prophets and apostles. I know because the Spirit of God has testified it to me.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church as a compassionate service leader in the womens organization for my ward. My duties include bringing meals to the sick, writing cards to girls for their birthdays, sending nice notes to the girls, and just being their friends. My roommate and I are able to visit two girls in my ward monthly and make sure that they are doing well and share a spiritual message with them. In this service I always try to pray to know how I can best help those that I am assigned to serve.

What is the Relief Society?

Ellen Williams
Relief Society is a service organization for women within the Mormon church. Women ages 18 and up within the church participate in this organization. Its purpose is to help the women in the church in their spiritual and temporal lives. We have meetings weekly during the 3 hour church services to discuss the spiritual welfare of ourselves as women. We also hold meetings as often as felt necessary by the leaders within the ward to uplift based on the needs of the women in the ward. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Ellen Williams
We should have faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We need to have faith that he is our redeemer and the only way in which we can return to live with our heavenly father. Faith in his atonement and his ultimate sacrifice. Faith in the Savior is the only way in which we can be redeemed.    Show more Show less
