Hi I'm Deborah

I am a graduate student. I am a dancer. I am a sister. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a therapist helping young men navigate through this thing we call life and strengthen their families along the way. I LOVE people! Friends and family make this world a better place! They are meant to laugh with us in our times of joy, cry with us in our times of sorrow, and hold us up when we can't stand anymore. I love spending my time building and creating new things or watching Gilmore Girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. As I have followed the teachings of Jesus Christ and lived the gospel I have learned who I am. I have become a better Deborah then I ever was. As I grow closer to my Savior through following his teachings, my capacity to love others is expounded and my joys is doubled. I am able to do hard things through the atonement of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful feeling it is for me to know that He lives and He knows who I am. He has a plan for me and cares for my happiness as well as the rest of his children. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is His true Church on the earth. I have prayed and studied and asked for myself and the Lord has revealed that to me. I know that Thomas S Monson is the living prophet on the earth today. How grateful I am for him. I love him. I am grateful that the Lord speaks through prophets today as he did in the bible. I know that Christ lives. He is my savior. I am so grateful for the countless times he has forgiven me of my sins as well as ran to my aid when I needed strength or comfort. I love him.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and do what I can to serve others on a daily basis. I smile at strangers I meet on the street. I want them to share in the happiness I have even if just for the moment. I visit and teach other women in my church in their homes. I read from the scriptures daily and pray to Heavenly Father daily as well. I strive to live a clean and virtuous life so I can be an acceptable representative of the Savior Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christian. The official name of the Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We believe that Christ is the head of our church and directs it through a living day prophet. The book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and his divinity. We are taught that Jesus Christ is our savior and the Redeemer of the world. We look to him as a model to pattern our lives after. It is through him that grace and eternal life is made a reality.
