Hi I'm Joni

I love my life. I have a great family. I grew up in Oklahoma. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom. It is my favorite job. I also have a degree in Justice Studies. I have enjoyed doing volunteer work through the juvenile court system. I love to volunteer at my sons school. I enjoy cleaning my house and making it beautiful. I like to make people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents invited the missionaies into our home when I was a little girl. I was only seven years old but I remember how happy I felt when the missionaries came over to teach us. When we went to the Mormon church the first time I remember how comfortable I felt. It was a familiar feeling. It felt right to me. My impression was that the spot that was empty inside me was full. As I got older the LDS church was an anchor for me. I found comfort and safety in living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon as a youth and prayed about whether it was indeed the word of God. I wanted to know for myself. I wanted an answer straight from God. I didn't want to be a member of the church because my parents were. I received an answer through the Holy Ghost that is was true. I continue to read the Book of Mormon every day along with the Bible. I find peace and joy in the scriptures as well as the words of the living prophet. I guess to sum it all up I am a Mormon because it fills my spiritaul needs and brings me true happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the commandments. I try to be kind and honest. I organize activities for the women of the church to help them be strong leaders in their communities and homes. I volunteer at my sons school to promote literacy. I look for opportunities to help and show love to others.
