Hi I'm Kallie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 25 year old college student. I was raised in rural New York state and enjoyed every minute of it. I love music! I play the piano and used to play the trumpet. I love to play sports especially basketball, soccer, and softball. I love spending time with my family, and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am happy when I live the principles taught in this church. Growing up I always knew that I was different than the kids around me. I never did the things that they did, but I never really had a belief of my own. When I was about fourteen, I was really struggling about whether this was something that I wanted in my life. One day my family and I went to Palmyra, New York for the dedication of the temple there. While there, the prophet at the time, Gordon B. Hinckley came into the room that I was in. As soon as he walked into the room I knew that he was a prophet of God. I felt warm all over, and knew that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ restored again on the earth today. Since that time I have never doubted the truthfulness of the gospel and its purpose in my life. I never feel as at peace than I do when I am living these principles.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping the women in my local church. Going to a university I work with the women ages 18 to 30. Doing this I have the opportunity to plan and carry out activities that are to help strengthen our faith. We also teach and learn of our faith everyday. I am there also to help the girls know that they are loved, even while being far from home. I have the opportunity to go and visit the girls and get to know them on a more personal level than most of the people at college do. It is a great opportunity to make new friends, and grow from each other.
