Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Husband, Dad, Fisherman, Mormon - not in that order - well, maybe.

About Me

I live in Montana and enjoy spending time with my wife and four children. I have loved flyfishing since I was a teenager. I also have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was a boy. I enjoy the outdoors and work in computer networking even though my college degree is in Marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

It started with my sweet grandmother. She raised her boys as members. My father was not active in any church during his college years. But when I was about six years old, Dad decided he needed to be active in his religion for the benefit of his growing family. I was baptized as an eight year old. At the same time, my mother joined the church. I have continued to learn and grow in my belief in the teachings of this church and in my understanding of the realities of who I am, who God is, and why Jesus Christ is my Savior. I continue to see in my daily life - in small and large ways - the hand of a loving God. My life is not perfect and neither am I. But that does not change the things I have experienced and the things that I have faith in.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are careful to study the scriptures and pray daily with our children. We have dinner together. We spend at least one night a week together as a family. We attend church each week and volunteer our time in church programs for youth and sunday school. I also serve in the leadership of the congregation. Most importantly, we strive to follow Christ's example in how we treat others and serve neighbors and our community. We look to Christ for a pattern on how to live and love and serve. Again, we are not perfect. But we work everyday at being better and helping those around us.
